Visual characteristics:

Cherry colour, bright with high intensity on the top

Aromatic characteristics:

It has high aromatic intensity. First the smell of the French oak stands out, the the black fruits and violets come trough. Finally it is the smells of wood.

Taste characteristics:

It is a strong, complex wine with smart and silky tannins. It is balanced and it has a lasting after-taste.

 

PRODUCTION

Our tempranillo vineyards are between 15 and 20 years old. They are planted in a typical soil for Ribera del Duero with high quantities of limestone and low presence of organic compound that has a positive influence in the quality of our grapes.

The vineyards are almost 800 metres above sea level, in the locality of Olivares de Duero.

We pick the grapes by hand in our family land. We place them in 20 km boxes and we carefully select the grapes that we accept in our winery. The wine is fermented in small deposits of 5000 kg controlling at all times the temperature. Then it goes through a 

Malolactic fermentation and then the wine ages in French oak barrels from Allier. They rest I'm the barrel till they are bottled, keeping the balance in taste between fruit and wood.

 Only 7,350 bottles of Tinto 10 Vendimmia Seleccionada were produced.
